March Enters Like a Lion!

March 1st brought a snowstorm to Richmond and Maury Place was blanketed in a beautiful coat of white powder. Forest Hill Park had a multitude of sledders, young and old alike. Monument Avenue was full of winter walkers, bundled up and enjoying the extra day off before the roads were cleared. Inside the Inn, warm drinks and backgammon were served up while the fireplaces blazed.



All of Richmond will be speaking French as Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond present the French Film Festival on March 27th through the 29th. Reserve your room at Maury Place now and you'll be able to walk to the screenings held at The Byrd Theatre.



March 28th is the 10th Anniversary of Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k. The front porch at Maury Place is a great place to cheer the runners as they go by. Runners with a grand sense of humor will dress up for the race to compete for a prize in individual and group categories from the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Many participants are also running for local charities, such as the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Bring your posters and banners to encourage your favorite road runners!
