Valentine's Day 2010 at Richmond's Maymont Mansion

“Swans, red roses, and costly indulgences” will abound at the Maymont Mansion on Valentine’s Day 2010, Sunday Feb. 14, Noon to 5 p.m. It's their Tour of Love. Hear Victorian-dressed ladies and gentlemen relate the details of the royal love story when Queen Victoria married her handsome Prince Charming in 1840, setting the romantic tone for the 19th century. Learn about the devotion of James Dooley to his wife Sallie, the original owners of the Maymont mansion and property left to the City of Richmond as a park and museum after Mrs. Dooley’s death. Reservations are suggested for the Tour of Love.
