Broadway in Richmond! "Wicked" lands on October 5.

Broadway's WICKED "tells the untold story of the witches of Oz."  Long before Dorothy arrived on the other side of the rainbow in Munchkinland, two girls met in the Land of Oz.  One--born with emerald green skin--is smart, fiery, and misunderstood.  The other is beautiful, ambitious, and very popular.  The two grow up to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.  This musical tells the back story of the two sisters we thought we knew so well from the 1939 movie classic,

"The Wizard of Oz."  Broadway's smash hit show WICKED will open in Richmond on October 5 and run through October 16 at Richmond's historic Landmark Theatre.  It is the first in the Broadway series coming to Richmond this season.  Other shows in the Broadway series include THE LION KING, RAIN--A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES, SOUTH PACIFIC, BLUE MAN GROUP, and Christmas performances by Mannheim Steamroller and Amy Grant and Vince Gill.
