Holy Chihuly!

This fall, the VMFA will be hosting a major art exhibition in their gorgeous James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Wing. The exhibit will showcase the magnificent glass blowing art by American glass blower Dale Chihuly. Chihuly’s art has been aweing the world for over 3 decades, with styles drawing inspiration from venues all over the world. His art is inimitable and the exhibit will feature some of his best known works, including Ikebana flower arrangements, Persian ceiling, Venetians, Chandeliers, and many more. Chihuly’s control over the kinetic form of the soft, hot glass is peerless as he blows them into sublime shapes and sculptures. The event will be hosted at the VMFA from October 20, 2012 to February 10, 2013 and to encourage guests and visitors alike, Maury Place would like to offer a 10% discount on one night’s stay, if you attend the exhibit.
