Richmond has been host to a great many artistic and historical exhibits and in the past few years since the opening of the VMFA, some very high profile events. This month, starting Saturday October 20, the Chihuly Glass Art exhibit will be opening to the public. Dale Chihuly is internationally renowned and regarded as the essence of cutting edge in using glass as an artistic medium. His work has been displayed in internationally acclaimed museums the world over. And now his work is coming to the VMFA and will be occupying the John G. and Francis 000. McGlothlin Wing. His most popular works including Ikebana, Mille Fiori, Chandeliers, Tabac Baskets, Venetians, Boats, and Persian Ceiling will be on display. Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors 65+, students with ID, adult groups of 10+, and youth ages 7–17.
