Butterflies Come to Richmond!

This summer is a great time to take in the "Butterflies Live!" exhibit at Richmond's Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. The North Wing of the Garden's Conservatory has been transformed into a world of colorful tropical butterflies. The exhibit is included in the general admission price to the Garden: $11 adults; $10 seniors; and $7 for children. The exhibit runs through October 13, 2013.  For more information, visit www.lewisginter.org.

Coincidentally, you can also take in the magnificent IMAX movie "Flight of the Butterflies" at the Science Museum of Virginia at 2500 West Broad Street.  This stunning 44-minute IMAX film shown in the museum's domed planetarium places you in the midst of the migration of millions of monarch butterflies across North America. Admission is $9 for the movie only. For more information, visit www.smv.org.

Both the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and the Science Museum of Virginia are just a short drive from Maury Place at Monument.
