A Christmas Present to Richmond From Frommer's!

"While you weren't looking, Richmond got cool." That's what well-known travel guide publisher Frommer's said in choosing the River City as one of its top worldwide travel destinations for 2014. The selection places Richmond among only 14 destinations in the entire world--and only three in the United States--that Frommer's considers prime places to visit next year. Frommer's cited history as one reason to visit Richmond in 2014, specifically the sesquicentennial of the Civil War. The year 2014 is the 150th anniversary of many of the biggest battles of the Civil War, and all of them occurred within striking distance of Richmond. Frommer's noted other reasons to visit Richmond including "a growing slate of breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, and even white water river rapid activities cutting right through downtown." Historic sites. A world class art museum. Outdoor activities along the James River. A vibrant culture life and thriving local restaurant scene. Frommer's confirms that these are all reasons to visit Richmond!
