I am an editor for VMFA's website. Thanks for the great endorsement! It's a fabulous exhibition, particularly relevant for Richmonders as it includes shots from Elvis' concert at the Mosque. (Some people reading this may have been there!) Plus, if you pay for Mummy, you'll get into Elvis free through January.

The documentary Friday night also promises to be very intriguing. Come one; come all!

We hope you enjoyed your stay at our little "B&B" on the Sarapiquí River of Costa Rica. While certainly not the plush atmosphere of Maury Place at Monument, we hope you felt welcomed nonetheless! It was a pleasure having you, Sharon, and Janet with us, and we hope it will not be the last time we have you as our guests.

The problem is that "saudade" is a word without a direct English translation. It has to do with longing for a person who is away, or for a time that is past. It's missing someone or something. Here's an English version:

The future is hope

Ditto, ditto, ditto. But what you failed to mention is the joy you gave to me (Donna) by 1) asking to join me, which is such a treat since I do most things by myself these days, and 2) getting to ride (albeit a short ride) to Movieland in Mac's "5th Z" with the top down! I felt like a youngin' again. Buoyant as I was upon arrival at the movie theater, you ALSO liked the idea of sharing a big bag of popcorn with me and we traded holding the bag through the whole movie! I believe I had the last few kernels of corn. And it was very good.

Stanley Tucci is my new role model of how loving and sweet a mate should be. Jeff is my new role model of a movie date! :-)
